What Is Dehumidification & Why Is It Important?

Dehumidification is the process of removing excess moisture from the air to maintain healthy, safe, and comfortable indoor environments. Proper dehumidification is a key step in water damage restoration and maintaining long-term property integrity.

Our Dehumidification Process

Our process commonly consists of: 

• Assessment and planning. We assess water damage and humidity levels using moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and other advanced tools. This allows us to determine the proper type, size, and placement of industrial-grade dehumidifiers.
• Water removal.  Standing water or excessive moisture is removed using pumps, vacuums, or other extraction methods before dehumidifiers are fully deployed.
• Dehumidification setup. Industrial dehumidifiers are strategically placed to maximize air circulation and moisture removal, far exceeding the capacity of standard residential units.
• Active dehumidification. Humid air is drawn into the dehumidifiers, where moisture is condensed and collected. Dry air is then returned to the space, gradually lowering humidity to safe levels.
• Monitoring and adjustment. Our team continuously monitors humidity levels and adjusts equipment as needed. Once the space reaches the optimal dryness, equipment is removed, and restoration or repair work can begin.
